It remains one of the most fascinating dives in the area for both history lovers and wreck diving enthusiasts.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1584\" data-end=\"1607\"><strong data-start=\"1588\" data-end=\"1607\">Dive Highlights<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1609\" data-end=\"1819\">The descent begins along the <strong data-start=\"1638\" data-end=\"1654\">descent line<\/strong>, which leads directly to the <strong data-start=\"1684\" data-end=\"1714\">bow deck on starboard side<\/strong>. From here, you can explore the fore section, where the deck reveals <strong data-start=\"1784\" data-end=\"1818\">a large opening into the wreck<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1821\" data-end=\"2058\">Divers can access the <strong data-start=\"1843\" data-end=\"1875\">upper structure (the castle)<\/strong> via a <strong data-start=\"1882\" data-end=\"1902\">narrow staircase<\/strong>, where remarkably, some original features such as <strong data-start=\"1953\" data-end=\"1999\">toilets, shelving, and accommodation areas<\/strong> still remain. The deck above sits at around <strong data-start=\"2044\" data-end=\"2057\">32 metres<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2060\" data-end=\"2261\">Although the original <strong data-start=\"2082\" data-end=\"2098\">machine guns<\/strong> on deck are no longer present, <strong data-start=\"2130\" data-end=\"2163\">shelves and scattered bullets<\/strong> are still visible around the gun mounts, offering a sobering reminder of the ship\u2019s wartime past.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2263\" data-end=\"2486\">The <strong data-start=\"2267\" data-end=\"2282\">aft section<\/strong> is detached from the main body and typically has <strong data-start=\"2332\" data-end=\"2354\">reduced visibility<\/strong>, due to sediment being stirred up by the current. In between the two sections sits the <strong data-start=\"2442\" data-end=\"2452\">boiler<\/strong>, still structurally recognisable.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2488\" data-end=\"2655\">The <strong data-start=\"2492\" data-end=\"2504\">aft deck<\/strong> also features <strong data-start=\"2519\" data-end=\"2562\">depth charge launchers (bomb catapults)<\/strong> and scattered <strong data-start=\"2577\" data-end=\"2591\">ammunition<\/strong>, giving insight into the ship\u2019s role in anti-submarine warfare.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"2662\" data-end=\"2695\"><strong data-start=\"2666\" data-end=\"2695\">Marine Life &amp; Photography<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2697\" data-end=\"2884\">The wreck is home to a rich variety of marine life. Among the hull and debris, you may spot <strong data-start=\"2789\" data-end=\"2804\">conger eels<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"2806\" data-end=\"2819\">octopuses<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"2821\" data-end=\"2839\">spiny lobsters<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"2845\" data-end=\"2857\">lobsters<\/strong> sheltering in the shadows.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2886\" data-end=\"3117\">Photographers and macro enthusiasts will enjoy the presence of <strong data-start=\"2949\" data-end=\"2964\">nudibranchs<\/strong>, while larger <strong data-start=\"2979\" data-end=\"2995\">pelagic fish<\/strong> such as <strong data-start=\"3004\" data-end=\"3038\">snapper, amberjack, and bonito<\/strong> often cruise in from the blue, drawn by the wreck\u2019s resident fish populations.<\/p>\n<p><\/div> <!-- description --><\/div> <!-- aio-icon-box --><\/div> <!-- aio-icon-component -->[vc_single_image image=&#8221;7010&#8243;
