A Unique Underwater Cathedral<\/h2>\n

Why is it called Altare?<\/strong> The site takes its name from a rock formation on the surface that vaguely resembles an altar. Beneath the waves, it offers a spectacular dive with three pinnacles and a coral-covered wall that drops vertically to 40 meters<\/strong>. Schools of fish, large brown groupers<\/strong>, snappers<\/strong>, corvinas<\/strong>, bream<\/strong>, and barracudas<\/strong> make this an unmissable dive spot.<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udd34 RED ROUTE: Pinnacles & Coral Wall (Max Depth: 40m)<\/h3>\n

Dive Plan:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • After the pre-dive check<\/strong>, we descend to 16 meters<\/strong>, reaching the buoy\u2019s mooring block.<\/li>\n
  • Keeping the wall on the right<\/strong>, we fin at 18 meters<\/strong> until we reach the three pinnacles<\/strong> rising dramatically from the seabed.<\/li>\n
  • Between the second and third pinnacle<\/strong>, we descend along a breathtaking coral-covered wall.<\/li>\n
  • Exploring the ravines, we may spot lobsters, moray eels, and octopuses<\/strong> hiding in the crevices.<\/li>\n
  • We then ascend to 20 meters<\/strong>, crossing a rocky gully leading to a landslide area.<\/li>\n
  • At 18 meters<\/strong>, we encounter a huge boulder with a yellow coral vault (Leptopsammia pruvoti)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  • Following the wall on our left<\/strong>, we gradually ascend to the bay, where we finish the dive near the mooring point.<\/li>\n
  • During the safety stop at 5m<\/strong>, enjoy the stunning play of light filtering through the water.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    \ud83d\udd34 RED ROUTE VARIANT: Landslide & Coral Wall (Max Depth: 40m)<\/h3>\n

    Dive Plan:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • From 16 meters<\/strong>, we descend along the right wall<\/strong> to 30 meters<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    • Following the landslide<\/strong>, we reach a beautiful coral-covered wall<\/strong> inhabited by lobsters<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    • Gradually ascending to 20 meters<\/strong>, we continue westward through a rocky gully leading to a landslide.<\/li>\n
    • At 18 meters<\/strong>, we find the massive boulder with yellow coral<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    • Returning towards the bay<\/strong>, we follow the wall on our left<\/strong>, passing above the pinnacles we saw earlier.<\/li>\n
    • The dive ends with a scenic swim-through between two large boulders<\/strong>, before ascending for the safety stop at 5m<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      \ud83d\udfe2 GREEN ROUTE: Scenic Canyon & Pinnacles (Max Depth: 18m)<\/h3>\n

      Dive Plan:<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n
      • Descending to 16 meters<\/strong>, we follow the right wall<\/strong> at a constant depth of 18 meters<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
      • We soon reach the three pinnacles<\/strong>, where barracuda schools<\/strong> often cruise above us.<\/li>\n
      • Continuing westward, we cross a rocky gully leading to a landslide.<\/li>\n
      • At 18 meters<\/strong>, we visit the large boulder with yellow coral<\/strong> before starting our return journey.<\/li>\n
      • Swimming back towards the bay<\/strong>, we cross another canyon<\/strong> and pass between two massive boulders<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
      • The dive ends with an easy ascent and a 5m safety stop<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
