If you’ve always wanted to try scuba diving with tanks, this is how you can do it safely with qualified instructors.
The SDI Scuba Discovery programme is designed for those who want an introductory diving experience before enrolling in the SDI Open Water Scuba Diver course.
How It Works
- An SDI/TDI Scuba Instructor will welcome you to our Dive Centre in Rapallo
- The instructor will give you an introduction to the basic scuba equipment
- You’ll be provided with a wetsuit, mask, fins, BCD, regulators, and tank
- Together with your instructor, you’ll board the boat to reach the beautiful Portofino Marine Protected Area
In just a few metres of water, your adventure begins - You’ll see plenty of marine life like large brown groupers, snappers, barracudas, octopuses, croakers, sea bream, and salema
- At the end of the dive, you’ll return to the Dive Centre and enjoy a nice shower
- After registering on the SDI/TDI website, you’ll receive your very first scuba diving certification
What You’ll Learn
During this experience you’ll learn:
- how to equalise your ears
- how to manage your buoyancy
- how to stay aware of your dive buddy
- how to communicate underwater
Course Prerequisites
- Minimum age: 18 years, or 10 with parental consent
- Able to demonstrate adequate swimming skills and comfort in the water
