Deepen your technical diving training

If you’re looking to deepen your knowledge in technical diving, the TDI Trimix Normoxic (Trimix Diver) course might be just what you need!

  • During this course, you will learn how to minimize the effects of narcosis by adding helium and reducing the percentage of nitrogen in the gas you breathe.
  • You will also be taught how to plan dives with an appropriate helium mix for the planned depth.
  • The maximum depth you will be able to reach is -60 meters.

Who this course is for:

Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures divers who wish to:

  • Dive safely to -60 meters depth
  • Reduce narcosis in deep dives
  • Progress in technical diving training

Course prerequisites:

  • Minimum age: 18 years

  • Minimum certification: TDI Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures Diver, or equivalent

  • 100 logged dives

  • How to plan decompression dives

  • How to choose the most suitable gas mixtures

  • How to use tables and set the dive computer

  • How to manage emergencies like equipment failure, missed decompression, etc.

  • Decompression dive procedures

  • How to choose the appropriate equipment

  • Pre-dive checks and exercises

  • Stress management

  • How to follow a decompression schedule

  • How to perform gas switches during deco stops

  • How to communicate with the team

  • Using SMBs/ lift bags

  • Buoyancy and trim techniques

  • Finning techniques

  • Managing multiple decompression cylinders

  • Emergency procedures like equipment failures, gas loss, missed decompression, navigation errors, injured/unconscious diver, etc.

  • How to label cylinders

  • Analysis of nitrox and trimix mixtures

  • Gas blending procedures

Upon completing the course, you will be able to:

  • Conduct technical dives using normoxic trimix mixtures

  • Enroll in the TDI Advanced Wreck and TDI Advanced Trimix courses

Minimum certification requirements for TDI Trimix Normoxic Diver:

  • Complete the TDI Trimix Normoxic course written exam satisfactorily

  • Complete all open water requirements safely and efficiently

  • Demonstrate maturity in dive planning and execution
