The Discover Scuba Diving experience is a unique opportunity for anyone who wants to see the underwater world with their own eyes and decide whether to continue with an Open Water Diver certification.

From the age of 10, anyone can enjoy this unforgettable day, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

What to expect from your first scuba diving experience

Your Discover Scuba Diving adventure begins with a short introduction to scuba diving, where you’ll learn about the underwater world and the marine life waiting for you on your first dive.

The experience is designed to be safe, fun, and easy – always guided by a professional PADI instructor.

Step 1: First dive from the beach

Your day begins with your first shallow-water dive from the beach, where your instructor will help you learn and practise a few simple but essential scuba skills. These skills will prepare you and give you confidence for your next dive.

Step 2: Second dive by boat in the Portofino Marine Protected Area

Once you’ve mastered the basics, you’ll join your instructor for a second dive from our boat within the beautiful Portofino Marine Protected Area.

On this dive:

  • You’ll go a bit deeper, up to a maximum of 12 metres

  • You’ll feel the sensation of weightlessness – like flying underwater

  • You’ll discover the freedom and beauty of the marine environment

An unforgettable experience: your first diving diploma

At the end of the day, you’ll have earned your first diving diploma – all in a single day!

If you decide to continue, you can move straight on to the PADI Open Water Diver course and become a certified diver.

If you don’t have time to continue during this trip, don’t worry! Your Discover Scuba Diving diploma is valid for one year, so you can choose to continue another time.

Who can take part?
